Vrudak is cold and mountainous, with a long winter during which everything is covered in several feet of snow. The mountains of Vrudak are rich in precious metals and minerals, providing a ready source of wealth to the Orcs, who would otherwise have to rely entirely on subsistence farming.
The Orcs did not originate in Vrudak however, but fled there after a cataclysmic disaster beset their own home land. Guided by the mysterious race of Dragons, the Orcs eventually came to Vrudak, learning along the way that it was the Eilol who had unwittingly destroyed their home land. Hardened by their experience and hungry for revenge, the Orcs became a race of warriors, and soon set about the destruction of the Eilol. The war lasted for generations, and changed the face of the world forever.

Lore Excerpt: 'Shakaar strode out from under his tarpaulin and looked around. Everywhere he could see sorrow. Families huddled together, parents holding back tears, trying to maintain some semblance of calm in front of their children. The children were skinny, starving. Their bellies were strangely bloated. And they cried, constantly. Shakaar and his rag-tag band of survivors might still be alive, but it certainly didn’t feel that way. They had lost everything – homes, families, friends. Little remained but the will to live, to go on. Even that was quickly fading. They would die here, in this volcanic and inhospitable land, and no one would ever know that their race had even existed.
