As the people who most regularly traverse it would say, the Sea of Nar is a harsh mistress. Sudden storms, coming as if from nowhere, are a constant threat, and rain clouds are ever visible on the horizon. Huge sea monsters roam the deep ocean, and occasionally venture up to the surface, to strike at some unlucky vessel.
Despite this, the Sea of Nar is the primary route for trade between Ediann, Vrudak, Dae and Rildan, and the Pirate Islands at its centre form the trading hub of the world, home to a wide variety of races. Yet the Islands are best known as the home of the fabled Pirates of Nar, who have grown rich alternately pillaging and protecting trade vessels as they ply their way across the Sea.
