

Well, we are just this bunch of guys from around the world with a vision, but admittedly this vision has changed over time and wasn't ours to start with.
In the dim distant past (around 2 years ago) a group of us got together to work on a RPG based in the fantasy world of Taos, as we soon discovered, making a RPG is no easy matter and we all agreed after about a year to cancel the project (we do have hopes to ressurect it in the future).
After the initial bit of chaos of the project ending, there was still a few of us core developers left and we really wanted to make a game. Since we already had this fantasy world developed with lots of lore, maps, races & creatures we decided a good way of showing this world to the real world would be in a Combat/Trading Combat Game. The Producer of the original RPG was happy for the resources to be used in this game(well, it would be a shame if it went to waste). Also, at the same time it allows for continued development of the fantasy world if the RPG is resurrected.
Many of us have already played other similar games out there and many fantasy games, so with a lot of brainstorming we established what we like/dislike and also what we can do differently to make use of the computer controlling the rules while also still maintaining some of the concepts from the RPG such as alignment.
As we've developed the lore & races, we have found that we naturally feel linked to specific races and thus allows our creativity to bloom. Taos for us really feels like a home from home.
